We are a brother and sister who aim to experience the world first hand. ☺
We travel together and apart, but share similar interests and thirst for discovery and exploration.
We like to travel in new ways and to new places. We have an emphasis on self-travel and like to avoid tours & organised packages where possible. We also believe in traveling like a local where possible; so avoiding high-end tourist hotels, shuttle services and restaurants in favour of guesthouses, lodging, public transport, self-transport and street food or restaurants locals would eat in. By doing so we believe that we are better supporting those in the countries we visit and also able to experience the real country not the version often portrayed to tourists.
Our aim is to visit as many new countries as possible each year as money and time allows. However we never compromise a visit to any place based on attempting to fit in many places.
Our holidays can sometimes be quite manic to other folks but we are both people with a fast lifestyle and are more than happy to spend 10 hours travelling a day so long as it’s broken up with scenic breaks, hiking, viewpoints and a few nice cold beers ☺. As a result you may find that it’ll take you longer in order to see the same as what we did if your stamina is less than ours.
On average we tend to do 2 big trips each year averaging around 4 new countries potentially with the odd city break.
Our trips tend to be a mix of safaris, self-drive, trekking and beach holidays with a dashing of city breaks added in where time and money allows.
